Happy Solstice!!!

Oops! So I JUST realized I never recapped November or did goals for December. Time got away from me while I was Dealing with the World, I guess. Regardless, things are going as well as they can here. My house is decorated, the gifts are in (tho we chose practical and only a few small things each this year so we're not returning clutter we have spend years clearing out!), and I've got a turkey thawing to cook on Wednesday.
Here, I'm the only NeoPagan in the house planning to honor the Solstice tonight (manthing agnostic at best, and I wanted my kids to choose their own spiritual beliefs IF they wanted them once they were old enough to truly choose for themselves). However, we always celebrate Secular Santa Day which involves your usual Christmas stuff of too much food, presents, a pretty tree and staying in our jammies most of the day. ^_^ It's a good time.
RL has been a bit of a challenge. I have succeeded in getting the poopcrete the former owners left in the septic tank to finally breakup, however, my efforts, while valiant and succcessful ended up clogging our leachfield pipe. LOL! YAY the joys of homeownership! I wouldn't trade it though, I love my little house, challenges from previous owners not giving it the care it needs not withstanding. ^_^
Nitro is healing very very well! He's got one final checkup with the vet on Jan 7th, but he's sans bandaging, leaving the surgical site alone, and just... like JUST as I'm typing this had his first real case of the zoomies in over a month!
I DID finish rereading Cracka and I wrote the draft to the next chapter before the end of November, but given we're already 3/4th the way through December and I have too many plans for the rest of the month, I don't think I'll be getting more done before the end of the year. I have Grand Plans for 2025, which will start once the manthing is out from under my feet. (he's on use or lose vacay right now, which is fun for sure, but also it means he's distracting ^_^)
I'll be back in January with that To Do List and Goals List, so I wish you all a very Happy Solstice today, A Merry Christmas/Secular Santa Day on Wednesday, Happy Hanukkah then too! Kwanzaa, Festivus, Yule, and forgive me if I missed any. May the Best of your 2024 be the worst of your 2025, and may we all survive what's coming in the near future.
