For August

Time to wrap up July and set the plans for August in motion. ^_^

For July I managed to organize (most of) my files, prioritize WIPs and outlines, and wrote 18,324 words. Ish. I've definitely written more in the editing of Out of the Blue and the Halloween at the Ark rp that we're turning into a fic, but I wasn't counting each tiny word. 18k is an accomplishment after such a long hiatus, and I'm proud.

It feels REALLY good to be writing again. Clearly I needed the break, and I'm glad I took it and let my creativity run elsewhere for a while.

So, where am I at?

I crossed four fics off the list and got them all posted, and that finished off three series that I've been meaning/wanting to finish for YEARS. ALL my series are complete except for these last four:

Crackalackalicious
Crackalackalicious Aus
Cracka Chicks
Gargoyles

- Cracka has its plan in place: the main story, and then some after book oneshots.

- The Cracka AU series has no real plans other than Walking Crack, but I'm leaving it open for random whatevers and possible future prompts for a while still at least.

- Same for Cracka Chicks.

- The Gargoyle's AU is a WHOLE thing all its own. There'll be a main fic, and probably a bunch of side stories because the Twin and I have had YEARS to poke and toy with and imagine all the things. There is already art.


As for Writing in August:

- My current editing project is the Halloween rp-to-fic. Our plan is to finish that this month, though the fic won't post until Halloween. - 8-4-2024 - Ready to post.

- Down the Rabbit Hole – This one's calling to me more of late, so once editing is done, and since I finally figured out the end (thanks to Flyby letting me bounce ideas at her again), it might be the next fic I tackle alongside Cracka.

- Crackalackalicious – I have *literally checks notes* 78 various documents with notes for Cracka. One of those docs is 177 pages long. August's goal is to get the timeline finalized. Twin suggested a poster board and I'm seriously considering it. It might be genuinely helpful to fill it in with the required events I know need to take place and in order. I'm not even sure I can manage that before the end of August (poster board or no) but I'll be trying. I also know I'll likely want to write SOMETHING while shuffling scene ideas, but I really want to have the new plan for Cracka before I start writing it. Hence, Rabbit Hole, or possibly one of the following fics ~ - Well holy shit. 8-4-2024 and I've powered the hell through and sorted Cracka's docs.

Rabbit Hole, Oopsie, or Glorfindel are the most likely candidates for writing while organizing for Cracka. I'm not forcing any of it though. Whichever one yells loudest will get written, and I don't even care if I bounce between them. I'm just happy to be writing again. ^_^

That said, I have no idea if anything will post this month, but if I do get anything done, I'll share it.

AND! Thank you to everyone who's kudos'd and commented and supported the new fics. It's been damn fun and certainly inspires me to keep going. You're all very much appreciated! <3 I hope everyone has a lovely August!
