Year in Review - 2018 / 2019 Goals

I somehow, despite thinking I'd had quite the dry year in writing, managed to get over 100k words out there. 125,465 words, point of fact. Go me, wow! I'm betting most of it was in finishing Vision and there in December with the AU Yeah AUgust (in December) ficcies. LOL!
I actually didn't do one of these for 2017, though I did list some goals. You can find them here if you want.
Writing-wise, I did do Vision, and I'm really proud of it. We got more Mers in the Waves 'verse. And though it's only a single silly fic, I've started the Gargoyle's AU. ^_^ After the LONG dark of 2017, and how busy everything seemed in this last year, I'm pleased. I done good. *pats self on back*.
Non-writey stuff - the 14 KnotFormers! I finished ONE! LOL, but hey, he was mine, and I've been making these how long and didn't have one of my own? The other 13 are really progressing, and I will absolutely have them done and ready for adoption in a couple months. I made the mistake of pushing too hard and jacked up my wrist, which instead of just slowing me down, threw the brakes on the whole deal. I have learned my lesson and will be/have been taking far better care of my poor wrists.
Getting out more did happen a bit. It was a HOT summer, but last spring and this fall, I got out on walks and even some bike rides with the kids. The race never happened. I never heard from my SIL about it, but I DID do the spring Zombies!Run app race. I love that app.
Following Tradition! Below is the first line from the first fic posted each month (where there was fic).
January - Worth the Wait - "Starrrrr~" Blurr whined, body overly warm and no way to hide his arousal as a Mer.
February - When a Wrench Just Won't Do - Sunstreaker wasn't at all sure how it happened.
March - Not Octuplets - They did not have octuplets, much to Megatron's silent relief.
April - Vision was completed, so here's the first line of the last chapter. - Rodimus sighed and curled into Sunstorm's embrace.
August - Alone in the Dark - He woke alone in the dark and reached for… someone who wasn’t there.
October - Glorfindel at the Ark - Chapter 2 posted the 19th. - "Glorfindel, huh?" Ratchet said as he stared down at Glorfindel.
December - Meant To Be - Primus hates me, Starscream lamented to himself as he stood in front of a trio of mirrors.
2019 Goals
A lot of this year's writing goals will depend on my Patreon. Tiers 3, 4, & 5 get to vote on which major project I focus on the following month.
That said, though, there are a number of things I want to poke at that they'll be able to vote from or which I may gnaw at around other things. Many of these have been around for years now due to the dry spell, but if I can even chip away at them some, that'd be good.
Crackalackalicious - of course. LOL! This poor baby. I WILL do something on it. I actually DID poke at it a little earlier in the year, I just didn't get very far.
Waves - Progress was made, but the next story is all about Rodi cuz he needs love too! I know who he gets with, I know where they are, and where he goes, and who has to run after his silly ass, and what happens to them KINDA, but there's no outline, which seems to work best for me where Rodimus is concerned. ^_^
Storm Season is pretty far along. There is further existing and old RP from NK and me that needs edited and filled out with more scenes to complete the story, but that is outlined. Then there's a single last fic that I have a synopsis for, so it just needs written. There are fics that are done, but that I can't post yet because of those two others holding up the works. I'd really like to get them done this year so we can wrap up that series.
Eclipsed has an outline for one more very LONG fic. I'd love to have a chance to chip away at this a bit too.
THEN, lol, thanks to AU Yeah AUgust (in December), I have three stories that only exist as their first chapters. Yikes... WIPs!
Part of Your World - Mermechs. Starscream/Grimlock/Blurr. I don't have an outline, but I do know the happy ending.
Baby Mine - Grimlock and Starscream are sparklings! Oh noes! The plan here is just for some random sparkling cuteness with the occasional bits of plot thrown in. I know how it ends, but I have no idea how many chapters of random we'll have before I get there. I might do prompts or something for this one down the road, sort of like I did for Foundlings and Sextuplets.
Down the Rabbit Hole - IDW Blurr fell through the universe and landed in G1. This will NOT be lighthearted. I have an idea where I want to go with it, and it's basically whump on Blurr for a while before making him happy with Grimlock and Starscream.
What do you mean my newest OT3 is showing? ^_^
Non-Writing Goals are all crochet really, besides getting back outside again once it warms back up. Those thirteen KnotFormers need finished, and then I've got a few other WIPs (four blankets and two shawls) I'd like to poke at a bit. There are other KnotFormer characters I'd like to have for myself too, but I doubt I'll get to any of them this year.
And as far as opening commissions go... my plate still feels pretty full right now. *points up* I've been putting off so much of that for so long, and I STILL have other original ideas slamming around in my head, and that list up there? That's not even a percentage of the stuff I've got crammed in my To Write folder.
NEVER bored!! LOL!
That's honestly probably not it, but I think it's enough to act as a springboard. So, in conclusion, I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart. I know I say this every year, but I should really say it more often than that: Your comments, your kudos, your overall support means the damn world to me, so thank you, every last one of you, thank you so much!
May your 2019 bring you warmth and healing, peace and prosperity, everything you need, and bunch of the things you want.
