ladydragon76It's time for a recap and fresh goals!
Did List!
I knocked out four fics, which finished out four series I've wanted to close out for a long time.
For the Storm Season Series, Out of the Blue was done.
For the Cry Me A River Series, Aftercare was finished.
Uninvited got Honeypot.
And I found a fic I thought I'd lost for Lottery Verse that I cleaned up and posted: We Need To Talk.
I also finished my reread of Crackalackalicious, and wrote the draft of the next chapter. That's right, y'all. The first chapter of the second arc has been penned. Then I got busy with the holidays and things, but Fall is always super busy around here.
2025 Goals!
Fic Goals:
There are some fics besides Cracka still on the To Write List. They may or may not get tucked in here or there as the muse strikes, but I'm going to focus on Cracka primarily.
1. Oopsie Daisy - This Loki/Darth Maul fic is a for-fun, fix-it, cracked out bit of self-indulgence that I'm glad others find entertaining too. And while Twin and I have an outline and plan (and she has TONS of art already!) it’s a backburner fic. This one posts by the chapter as I’m inspired to write it.
2. The Gargoyle AU - Demon in Disguise is currently the only fic, but there's a WHOLE thing planned.
3. Down the Rabbit Hole - IDW Blurr in G1 is planned out and just needs written.
4. Grimlock’s Healing Spike - Also planned out and just needs written.
5. What I’m calling the Eclipse Series, though it may end up being just one long fic instead of a series, where we play with the Cons being the good guys and the G1 cartoon was just Autobot propaganda. This is a co-writing/started as an RP piece with NKfloofiepoof and has a LOT done, but needs a LOT of editing to solidify the POVs. We'll get to it eventually!
6. Walking Crack – The Crackalackalicious Zombie AU. We still want to do this, but Cracka needs done first for obvious reasons.
7. There's a Rodi self-cest fic I want to do.
8. Glorfindel at the Ark is more fun and playing about with cracked ideas, but I do have some more I'd like to write for it.
Other Goals:
I will be protecting my peace this year. And I will be continuing to practice gratitude and meditation as I've found both to be very helpful the last two months. I also want to move and exercise more, and really nail down my sleep schedule (which I've been honestly better about). I want to put more focus on what and when I eat too. I definitely want to write more and more regularly. I LOVE sewing for my Smart Dolls, and want to finish some more sewing projects for them, as well as for myself. Knitting, crochet… just craft more. Make TIME for those projects because they are enjoyable to do.
I want to listen to music more often. Kids and I did our Spotify year in review thingy and it made me realize how much I DON'T listen to music anymore. It used to be that the stereo would be on from the time I got up to the time the manthing got home from work, but then we moved out here to the boonies and we do not have but one semi-decent radio station. I've been using Spotify, but only when I drive and forgetting I CAN still listen at home. Definitely going to be sure to set up the little bluetooth speaker each morning and rock out through the chores and studying. ^_^
Speaking of studying, I'm continuing my mathematics education as well as learning programming and web design. And one last little thing/goal: I want to take more photos in 2025, and get myself in front of the lens more too. I've certainly fallen into that Invisible Mom trap where I'm the one always behind the camera. I LOVE taking pics, but I'm never in them. There will be selfies. There will be the camera set on a tripod for timed pics. There will be pics of the dolls and dog and cat and kids and the gorgeous area I live in.
