2021 Year in Review
Most of my accomplishments this year were offline. We bought the hoarded, abandoned property right next to ours last spring in the hopes of building a garage, knowing full well it was going to be A Project. Our combined yard now has a nice, new and pretty fence around it (thanks, Twin!), the property has been emptied of the hoard and the creatures living in it for the last twelve or so years, and the -definitely not built to code or with permits- building itself is currently set up for our volunteer fire department to use for training. Once they're done, we'll finish tearing it down and finally build the garage after leveling the yard. We removed FOUR tractor trailer hauls of SHIT from that lot!
We also finally got rid of that old above ground pool the previous owners had left us. It was small and none of us used it, so I'm glad to have that bit of yard space back.
My older kiddo turned 18 this last Fall, so we took him on a trip to Disneyland. That was a blast. We've managed a few other trips and spent Thanksgiving with my manthing's sister and her fam. That was also a blast. I really like my SIL, and her kids and my kids adore each other, so it's always a good time. Twin visited me (and built me a FENCE!!! \o/!), and I was able to FINALLY go and spend two weeks with NK! We've only been trying to accomplish that for a five... six? years! LOL! She taught me to knit. It's fun.
As far as writing goes, I haven't done a word since the first couple days of August before all the travel and visitors and all began- which was as planned. I knew I was going to be even busier than I'd been the first part of the year, and decided I just wasn't going to stress over writing at all. I put Patreon on hiatus for the last four months and just focused on those other RL things. It's been a nice break, but I've definitely been feeling the itch starting up over the last couple weeks where I was home and had finished most of the holiday prep.
For 2022!
I've blocked out time in my schedule to sit and write and put my guys on notice that those two hours a day are MINE. I've also blocked out specific time during the day while the kids are doing their school work to do craft things (crochet, knit, sew...) because that allows me time to do it, but also doesn't require the concentration writing does if they need help with their classwork.

Patreon is ... Patreon. They are tightening their fist regarding adult content and playing to the conservative and thus terrified of sex side. They haven't hit me yet, but I'm not going to give them a chance to. I will leave it open with a $1 tier, but the only reward available will be early access to SFW fics/chapters. It's just an option for supporting my habit if you want to.
SubscribeStar doesn't do PayPal, but I've got one, and it'll be the same deal there except that I will post EVERYTHING since they're not prudes. Various tiers so anyone who wants to throw money at my head can, but the rewards will all be just early access to fics and maybe a vote on what I'll work on next if I need help deciding.
I found myself getting lost (like with commissions) in always writing for other people instead of my own ideas. Now, that's not REALLY a complaint. I'm blessed that I have people who enjoy my work enough to pay for the time I take to write them stuff, but I have left my own projects languishing and in 2022, I want to really focus on them. If you'd like to support that effort, thank you in advance and here are my Patreon and SubscribeStar links:

If not, no worries, EVERYTHING goes on Ao3, so you just get to wait a whole whopping week or so more for it. ^_^
As I mentioned, I have time blocked out for craft work, so I'm hoping to accomplish things then too. I'm not sure how much I'll manage with only 10 or so hours a week, but it'll likely be more than the near nothing I manage without dedicating time to it. LOL! I'll post pics of any completed projects to SubscribeStar, and hells, maybe even remember I have a twitter and use it too. -Though that might be ambitious. I've had that thing for ages and usually forget it exists until someone @'s me.
So let's wrap this with the usual?
Thank you to every last one of you who's supported and encouraged me this last year. I know it was a quiet fandom year for me, but it was still a pretty good one, and I appreciate your kudos and comments so much!
May the best of your 2021 be the worst of your 2022!
Happy New Year!
